What kind of Classes do we teach at MOVE//West?

ESSENTRICS®
Essentrics is a full body workout that rapidly changes the shape of your body through a dynamic combination of strengthening and stretching. The technique develops lean, strong and flexible muscles with immediate changes to your posture. Perfect for men and women of all fitness levels, this program rebalances the body, prevents and treats injuries and unlocks tight joints. With a diverse music playlist accompanying each routine, this equipment-free workout leaves you feeling energized, youthful and healthy.

ESSENTRICS® Barre
Barre workout—with two barre heights to choose from to get a deep stretch at the level that is right for you. Essentrics has integrated the barre into its regular workouts. Keeping up with the fundamental principles of the program: elongating the muscles and challenging them in the lengthened position, strengthening while lengthening, zero impact without the use of weights—the Essentrics Barre workouts will tone and shape your body, create long lean muscles and increase your flexibility.

ESSENTRICS® Release & Restore
This 1-hour class is aimed at regaining your mobility while slowly building strength and reawakening the power of your 650 muscles. This class has a slower pace than our general Essentrics classes. It is designed for those who have atrophy-related stiffness, frozen shoulder, chronic aches and pains, or who are beginning to exercise after a long sedentary period. For men and women of all ages who are looking for a gentle, slow tempo class.

Mobility & Strength with BLACKROLL®
Blackroll training offers people of all ages and sport levels to improve their flexibility, balance, mobility and strength by doing simple exercises and self-massage. Full body training working through the muscle chains.
It eases tensions in your muscles and helps to release adhesions in your fascia. Your fascia will be rehydrated and nourished properly. This enables you to expand your range of motion and to increase your agility. The healthier your fascia, the higher your agility and overall performance.

What to bring to class?
Mats, blocks, Blackrolls, Thera bands and blankets are available to you at our locations.
Please bring your own:
– Workout clothes, no shoes needed
– Towel for on the mats
– Water bottle, optional

Before class
Please make sure to arrive at our location 10 minutes in advance. Once the class has started and the door is closed we cannot let you in.

Where is the workout studio located?
De Hallen, Amsterdam // Belcampo Loft // Hannie Dankbaarpassage 33 // Via the Passage, on 1st floor, above Recycle).

How to get there
The Belcampo Loft can only be reached via winding stairs. Unfortunately, the space cannot be accessed in a wheel chair.
Bicycle: there is an underground bike parking under De Hallen, accessible through the Passage. Free of charge.
Public transport: tram 7 and 17, name of the stop: Ten Katestraat. Alternatively tram 3 and tram 12, name of the stop: Kinkerstraat.
Car: paid underground carpark on Bellamyplein, entrance located next to Hotel de Hallen.

What other facilities do we have at the studio?
A shower, toilet, and water tap. For coffee, tea or a little bite to eat, there are plenty of options close by in De Hallen.

Business hours
The teacher will be present at the location 15 mins. class. If you are early – why not have a tea at Café Belcampo or browse De Hallen. We’ll be with you shortly.

Payment & memberships
Single class: € 14,50
10-class pass: € 125,- valid 6 months after purchase.
No additional fees apply.

No cash, only cards. Please pay for your classes online or before class at the studio. We accept pin, creditcard (MasterCard & Visa), iDEAL & PayPal.

Our offer (locations, times and teachers) can be subject to change. When there is a short-term change, we will inform you via e-mail, if you are signed up for the class. Long term changes will be mentioned on our website and/or other means of communication. We set out to facilitate you as well as we can.

Signing up for class
We love to know who’s coming to class, so please sign up in advance via this website.
Also, we have a limited number of spots available per class. We don’t like to disappoint you, but if the class is fully booked we cannot let you join.
Can’t make it to class? Please cancel as soon as possible.
Booked, but didn’t make it to class? We’ll have to charge this one, since you were holding a spot that someone else could have taken.

Special conditions
I am pregnant, can I join the class?
You are very welcome to join. Please inform the teacher before class so (s)he knows what advice to give you. For some exercises, you should do modified version, in which case the teacher is happy to show you. Also, check with your mid wife (or doctor) whether it is safe for you to workout.

I am recovering from an injury / disease and / or haven’t worked out in months / years / ever
Our classes are accessible to people of all levels of fitness. If you have any (previous) injuries, special requests, or questions whatsoever, please talk to your teacher or contact us via info@movewest.nl . We are there to help and make sure that you get the best and can fully enjoy a safe and fun workout.
